As a Commercial Roofing Laborer, your primary responsibility is to assist in various commercial roof repair project tasks. You will work under the supervision of an experienced service technician and contribute to the efficient completion of repairs and maintenance tasks. Attention to safety protocols, physical fitness, and a willingness to work and learn in varying weather conditions are essential for success in this role.
This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. - Perform Roof Repairs: Aid in repairing damaged or worn-out sections of roofs by removing old materials, applying patches, and installing new roofing components.
- Prepare Work Areas: Assist in preparing the work area by clearing debris, setting up safety equipment, and ensuring proper access to the roof.
- Handle Materials: Transport roofing materials and equipment to the work site, unload materials and organize them for efficient use by the service team.
- Cleanup: Participate in post-project cleanup activities, including disposing of debris, packing up equipment, and leaving the work area in a clean and safe condition.
- Follow Safety Protocols: Always adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your team members.
- Communicate Effectively: Maintain open communication with the supervisor regarding task progress, challenges, and any issues that may arise during the project.
